Shelley Cove

I was so excited with the last photo that I didn’t realise that I had shot this pano of Shelley Cove (I think that’s how it’s spelt), sort of stumbled across it, and I recon it’s come up alright. Just some subtle colours, nice line leading to the breaking wave out the back, and a few crew shooting on the rocks. One of them is CF, not exactly sure who he’s talking to, but I think he’s telling them that both Nikon and Canon are no good anymore, and that the Phase One P65 is the way to go!!

Is CF all for the P65, or is he going to stick with Canon, or change to a Nikon,  who knows, I don’t know, I’m not sure he knows!! I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough. What’s your opinion?

Anyway, here’s the pic, D3, 50mm Zeiss, 6 secs @ f11, 9 images stitched.

  1. He’ll get a P65 , no doubt about it, and sooner rather than later !!

  2. Pretty nice mate..great colours and composition…sweeeeeet!

  3. You did have a good weekend, this is a ripper to mate.

I think Merv is on the money with the camera thing.

  4. Nice! Darn pity I could not make it. Yeah CF next camera. Maybe we can get a full on betting thing going, I think the big N will win, but even if he used a 1800 glass plate camera his images would still look OK!

    • Hey David, cheers for dropping by. Will be interesting to see which way CF will go. What odds you giving??

      • Well I recon there is a 75% chance of Nikon 25% chance of the big thing but then a low 10% chance of Canon, but maybe a 45% chance of that. Does that add up???

  5. Aaah those fun seascape stitches..gotta love em eh!

I have spent a few hours on a potentially great shot of Samon Bay at Rotto…but it is filed in the too hard basket for now.

Will come back to it soon when I am a little fresher and see if I can make something of it!

  6. I reckon Nikon may have the edge at present??? Maybe…but the wind could well change by tomorrow and it is a fine edge the boy is walking I can tell ya!

    • Like I said in a post last week, I thought my clone tool wasn’t working, but it was working fine, just was pressing the wrong buttons, so now I can start attempting to shoot more water shots. Just have to be patient, and it’s frustraing sometimes.
Be interesting which way he goes…..the house is sold so bit extra cash to play with!!

  7. This is a great shot Jamie. Just clone out the boys on the rock.

    • Cheers for the comment Peter, but the people on the rocks are significant to the photo, I was there for a workshop and so were they…..I might rub them out later though…….don’t tell anyone!!
