Manjimup 15000 – Practice

Well here we are again, it’s that time of year, that historical event which falls on the June long weekend, the Manjimup 15000. Today was the practice day for the event, which involved all riders from both junior and senior ranks.

Leaving the farm at 7 am this morning to head to the track, I was greeted by a thick blanket of fog, the type of fog that hangs around, for days!!! Whilst talking to event director Willie Thompson in the morning, I suggested that my local knowledge was telling me that we may get a few light showers, but it should lift and clear by lunch time………I was hoping anyway!!! To our surprise, we had some light showers for a couple of hours, but by lunch time, the sky started to break up and the clouds lifted. These light showers were just perfect for the track, which is in prestine condition, which is testament to the efforts put in by the members of the Manjimup Motorcycle Club.

Anyway I’m dribbling once again, so where were we, the Manjimup 15000. What an event, what a weekend, so get down and support this awesome event. If you make it down, you will see me running around like a headless chook, pretending I know what I’m doing……as long as I look the part right???

Here’s some images……click to enlarge.

Some history there!
